promotion policy
Minimum units of credit required for promotion from:

Grade 9 5.0 units
Grade 10 11.0 units
Grade 11 17.0 units
Grade 12 24.0 units

Units of credit required for graduation: 24.0 units

Minimum Attendance requirement: Not more than 20 days unexcused absence, including absence caused by out-of-school suspension.

Students who do not meet the promotion criteria applicable to their grade will be required to attend Summer School. The following methodology should be used to determine their summer school program.
  1. Students must be enrolled in core courses for which they have received a failing grade. They may earn a maximum of 1 unit of credit during the summer session.
  2. Students who do not meet the attendance requirement must be enrolled in core courses for which they have received failing grades. If they do not have failures in core courses, they should be placed in the appropriate remediation class.
