I have been teaching at Kelvyn Park High School for over 10 years. I enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, the global feel, and the academic spirit of our school.

Teaching literature has been a liberating experience for me because it is, perhaps, what I do best. I have a Master's in English Language and Literature. Currently I am doing another graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

My teaching philosophy is student-centered and constructivist. This means I believe that we construct meaning through reflections, discussions and interactions. I love ambiguity; I am a little short on certitudes. I like to see students gain power to create order out of chaos, light from the shadows, and meaning out of absurdity.

Hey, my student is an active voyager in the realm of the mind. Unplug your ears and hear him or her singing:

"I am the captain of my soul.
I am the master of my fate."
